Flatiron First Mile Blog

“Hello World!”

This is the first blog post I have ever written so I apologize in advance.

Raised around Roanoke, VA (Big Lick) I’m just a regular 28 year old guy that’s finally decided to take the time and make the moves to pursue a dream I’ve had since before I knew it was a dream…to create software.

I’ve been interested in technology as a whole since I first got my hands on a SEGA GENESIS as a child. During that time, every electronic I got my hands on ,that I owned, I’d take apart and play around with it until It was no longer usable. While I can no longer afford to do that, those actions led me to where I am today.

The specifity of technology I’ve had interest in has evolved over the years, but the passion and the interest to learn more about it all has remained a constant. Which is what has led me to Flatiron.

I am truly excited about what I will learn, what I will be able to do with what I learn and the opportunities that will be presented as a result of the time I will spend with Flatiron.
